Rest In Peace Stefan Clist ? Before becoming a solo artist I was in a band during high school for 4 years.
I met the drummer Matt on a train after school and he invited me to join his band “adino”

Matt on drums, Aidan on guitar and Stefan on bass. For four years these guys became my family. We started out rehearsing in Stefan’s garage until the Neighbour came to complain with his Dog a few too many times. ?
We went on camping trips in my parent’s van, played at music festivals and bars and churches and anywhere that would have us. I have never been in a band since and this band played a huge part in shaping who I am as an artist now.
Aidan and Stefan loved Monty python and so they were always coming up with crazy ideas for the band. They would also come over to my place and watch Japanese commercials that I had on VCR (before Youtube), Stefan LOVED Japanese commercials because they were so crazy. Like Matt so beautifully put it. Stefan never took himself too seriously and always wanted to have fun!
Stefan was the glue that kept the band together. Always the most calm and collected out of the four of us, he never lost his cool, was a peacemaker and great listener.
One day we were busking on Queen St and these two girls Jo and Yvonne walked by and dropped some money and we soon became fast friends. They came to every show and even started coming on road trips with us and we felt like they were part of the band too.

As we all got closer it was funny watching Jo and Stefan start to bicker, and being a bit slow, it took me a while to figure out they actually liked each other. It was a beautiful thing to see them get married and have two beautiful children and I feel so special and honored that this band played a part in bringing together two incredibly special people.

All this makes it even more heartbreaking to hear he’s gone to heaven so soon.
Not just for me but for Jo and the kids and the people whose lives he touched Day in and day out. I am completely blindsided by the news of his sudden passing and can’t even imagine how hard this is for you right now Jo. I am so, so sorry. ?? Thank you for impacting my life Stefan.
