Located along Kūhiō Beach in Waikīkī, stands the iconic bronze statue of Duke Kahanamoku, also known as the "father of modern surfing." Duke was an avid swimmer, surfer and outrigger canoe paddler, earning him the title of Olympic gold medalist and one of the world's greatest watermen.
