Congratulations to The Extrapolation Factory for winning the Grand Prix of the Lexus Design Award 2018 for a brilliant experiment in encouraging the public to participate in design the future of their communities.
1. The #lda2018 exhibition at the newly restored Cavallerizze by the National Museum of Science and Technology sports an enthralling digital installation designed by Sota Ichikawa of doubleNegatives Architecture.
2. Fellow judges MoMA curator @paolantonelli and architect David Adjaye.
3. Simone Farresin and Andrea Trimarchi of Studio @formafantasma mentored the Grand Prix winners.
4. @lindseyadelman and @jessicavwalsh mentored two of the other finalists.
5. The twelve finalists of this year’s #lexusdesignaward. Elliott Montgomery of @extrafactory is the tallest in the back row. An unofficial sartorial prize goes to the Chilean design group Sistema Simple Studio for their ponchos.
