The word LIBRO (book) is very close to the word LIBRE (free); only the final letter distances them. I do not know if both words come from the Latin liber ("book"), but the truth is that they complement each other perfectly.
Books are one of the instruments created by man to set us free.
Free from ignorance and ignominy, free also from demons, from tyrants, from millenarian fevers and murky legionaries, from reproach, from triviality, from pettiness. Books affirm freedom, establish individuality and at the same time strengthen society and exalts imagination.
