We have been following the growth of green tea sprouts for some time, and finally the spring harvest of First Flush is right around the corner!

Tea Trees stock up nutrients during the winter months; and at the beginning of April the tea trees begin to produce new leaf buds. After allowing for these buds to mature for about 1 month, the first harvest of the year begins.

The taste and aroma of the young leaves that can be experienced only at this time have magnificent flavor and contain a rich collection of nutrients from the tea trees.

We directly import our “Ohashiri” Earliest Crop from Japan via airmail at the end of April, and our First Flush teas in the beginning of May.
