When I adopted BB, I was scared that my memories of Jazzy would fade into the background and somehow get replaced by new ones with BB. The reality is that BB constantly brings back the sweet—some of them almost forgotten—memories of Jazzy. BB and Jazzy are very different but uncannily similar in some other ways.
While BB and I create new memories, they also allow me to continue my love for Jazzy.
If you have lost your heart dog, I hope you will let your wall down and allow another dog into your life one day, too. It was a struggle for me at first but it was worth it. ?
