One hundred life-size cutouts of Mark Zuckerberg, the chief executive of #Facebook, sit on the lawn of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., on April 10. Advocacy group Avaaz placed the cutouts on the lawn to bring attention to fake accounts on the social network that spread disinformation. The real Zuckerberg visited with senators in closed-door meetings on Monday, the Associated Press reports, in a preview of the public apology he plans to give Congress after revelations that Cambridge Analytica, a data-mining firm affiliated with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, gathered personal information from 87 million users to try to influence elections. This will mark the first time in Zuckerberg's career that he has gone before Congress.
