So my good friend @karlacarolann sent me this video called “Powerless” about the prevalence of abused, missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada. It is an incredibly poignant music video that I also just discovered was directed by my good and super talented friend @andyhines.tv (so proud of you) if you have a moment please check it out. I put the link in my stories. If you don’t know about this long history of abuse. Please educate yourself. I am constantly learning more and am trying to take my place as a listener and supporter of indigenous people. My heart continues to break with each detail and every victim i learn about. These are stories that deserve to be told. Women we must remember and honor. This is NOT “just another Indian” as the horrifically racist but all too accepted phrase goes. F*ck that. These Are families that deserve our support. Thank you.
