SENIOR SUNDAY! We have a happy tail from @susiesseniordogs! It's a very happy #seniorsunday!! 8 year old Mr. Mike got ADOPTED! Mike was first featured two weeks ago when he was still looking for his forever home. He is truly the perfect pup. But, sadly, Mike didn't have anyone interested in adopting him simply due to his age. But all it takes is one amazing person (or family) to see a dog for their heart and to CHOOSE them. To make the choice to adopt. And for Mike, that very special person was Dana and her family! Mike was adopted last weekend and has settled in very well to his new home this week. He is such a lucky boy who so deserved this chance. Congratulations, Mr. Mike!! Dana wrote, "8 year old Mike is our first dog adoption, period. We do have a 7 year old female chocolate lab, Mila, and thought the age was so close that they would be great companions for hiking and activities. We had no hesitations at all about adopting Mike. As soon as we saw his picture - there was something in his eyes that spoke to me. We did want to meet him of course and makes sure HE liked US. We thought it would only be fair that he sort of choose his future home for himself. Mike and Mila are doing well together. We went on a five mile walk this Wednesday and he did incredible! He's so sweet and cuddly, enjoys milk bones and following me around the house! He welcomes anyone at the door and was super friendly with our friends. We feel he is happy! He wasn't so happy about the bath the first night but he took it like a champ. He has pep to his step when we call his name and comes right downstairs when we walk in from work. He lies right next to Mila and lays when eating his food. I'm proud of both of our dogs as this transition happens - they share beds sometimes and are pretty fluid with that. He sits down greatly for a treat and loves to snuggle! Mike is the perfect addition and I'm glad he has Mila to play with throughout the day. Mike and Mila!"
