When I was growing up
when most boys were big footed, long torsoed, pimply faced,
always awkwardly walking as if they were
at sea, I was instead fucking my school teacher my friend’s mother stealing jewelry dropping out of school and on top of it
I was good looking, a sweet face.
My friends slept with my girlfriend,
stuck syringes in cabbage patch dolls heads
and hung bottles from a corkboard ceiling
they’d hit with baseball bats
showering anybody in the vicinity
with needled shards of plastic flesh.
Everybody’s dead now
except for a few of us.
I ride the memories everyday
like an old rollercoaster
always on the verge of fucking
someone’s mother
stealing someone’s valuables
throwing up on a suburban family’s carpet
hiding in bushes so paranoid
that I hallucinate ghosts, people coming to get me, terrified.
