I went to spend a few innocuous nights in a little hotel I had heard about an old San Juan. I walk in through an unadorned, non-discript, rather ordinary gate with absolutely no signage, and immediately and much to my surprise was transported into place of magic, mysticism, sound, color, and a vibrancy that is inexplicable.
