Makes 16 brownies⠀

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder⠀
¾ cup all purpose flour⠀
1 teaspoon sea salt⠀ 3 eggs
2 ¾ cups sugar⠀
1 teaspoon vanilla extract⠀
2 ½ sticks unsalted butter, melted⠀
3.5 ounces dark chocolate, crushed into ¼ chunks⠀
Powdered sugar (for garnish)⠀

Position the oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 350°F. Butter a 9x9-inch square cake pan, line with oversided parchment, to be used as “handles,” and butter parchment. Whisk the cocoa powder, flour, and salt in a medium bowl to blend. Using an electric mixer, beat the eggs in large bowl, add sugar and vanilla and mix until well blended. Add the melted butter and cocoa mixture. Stir in the crushed chocolate.⠀

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan; spread evenly. Bake until a tester inserted into the center of the brownie comes out with a few moist crumbs still attached, 45-50 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool completely. Use butter parchment “handles” to easily remove brownies from pan. Cut into 16 squares.
