Day 8 Kyoto : Fushimi Inari Taisha , head shrine of God Inari . ?❤️

The shrine is situated at a base of a mountain also named Inari , with a trail up the mountain with many smaller shrines along the way. It takes about 1 hour ++ to reach the top of the mountain for me . ( in kimono and wooden sandals lol )

Inari is God of Rice but is worshipped as patron of business . Each of the torii gates ( the red gate like structure ) is donated by people who wants a wish to come true or thank God for a wish that already came true. Which explains why there are over 10,000 torii gates all over Fushimi Inari Taisha.

The journey to the top of the mountain for me is like The Amazing Race ! ??? Can’t believe that I climbed all the way to the top with kimono and wooden sandals. Don’t worry about being tired though , in between the trails , there are many stops where you can buy drinks , eat or rest forawhile. ❤️ They sell charms and souvenir there too !

I went all the way to the top to pray too.
