Happy birthday to our dear friend and living legend, Dr. Jane Goodall.

Fifty-eight years ago, a young Jane travelled from England into the wilderness of Tanzania. There, with little more than a notebook and binoculars she entered the little known world of chimpanzees. The rest is history. Jane’s unparalleled contribution to the body of knowledge about Chimpanzees and tireless campaigning on behalf of threatened species has inspired thousands to have compassion and act for the conservation of wildlife.

Taronga supports the @janegoodallau & Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Centre and we’re lucky enough to have Dr. Goodall visit Taronga’s chimp family from time to time. We hope to see you again soon, Jane! #forthewild
