After hearing so much about what @labelhood.official is doing for @shanghai_fashionweek ‘s young designer scene, it’s so good to finally see it in person
Its current roster of designers and those that have come through the Labelhood platform have defo been the highlights

Seriously aerated and beautiful knitwear from #Swaying by @shashawong5 that was a welcome calming sight in amongst the street wear clobber

The @フィックス gang in all-white photo printed workwear alongside precise tailoring inspired by parcel tape and office stationery lying around the studio

@chenpengstudio primarily does next level puffas (he only does one AW collection a year) and does them well indeed. I loved his homecoming show full of mega enlarged and flowering quilted outerwear and I wanna look like a ? puffa posy

Getting all emo, dreamer-like and nineties (whilst avoiding clichés) with @theworld_is_youroyster ‘s wallflower teens, @anguschiangofficial ‘s sloganned jumper (literally says “chasing dream people” on the arms) and @8on8_official ‘s Martin Parr-hued suiting - baked beans red check anyone?

@ximonlee debuted a smaller scale dance performance in Paris in collaboration with artist Pan Daijing @infinitydosezero but in an old naval pool with a sand covered stage erected over it, Lee’s visceral textiles ran riot in a flurry of fluid movement. The stage was bigger and it was breathtaking. A daring move from a young designer to show absolutely nothing of what he is actually selling but one that paid off

Similarly we’ve already seen @xu_zhi_ ‘s Jane Morris-inspired collection at LFW but recontextualising it with references, film and added pieces (like the beautiful hand painted dress seen in the slideshow) at Zhi’s Shanghai exhibition gave it extra context and depth

The subtle use of Chinese details and silhouettes in @samuelguiyang ‘s collection that actually moves the Chinoiserie convo forward into somewhere new
