Today’s #wcw is the unstoppable @elainewelteroth. She is a trailblazer in every sense of the word, accumulating a long list of accomplishments that deem her “the first” in almost every role she touches. When she became beauty director of Teen Vogue, she was the first ever African-American to serve in the role. Her passion and her drive for change is considered the main factor behind the magazines shift of focus towards issues dealing with social justice and politics. She moved on to be named editor-in-chief of @Teen Vogue, making her the youngest person in history to hold that title… and the second African-American ever in the role. As a friend, and as an onlooker, I am so proud of all that she has accomplished, and cannot wait to see what greatness is in store for her next!
