Each week I take about an hour or two to go to a coffee shop or find a quiet spot outdoors... by myself. I put my phone on silent and turn off all notifications. It’s the one time where I’m outside the pressing daily things or various roles that I’ve been entrusted with and can just be. A much needed refueling space where the soul can breathe and where I have slowed down enough to hear the whispers from the heart. Such a simple concept but it took me awhile to really give myself permission to cut away and have it without feeling the need to justify. Now I’m so grateful for it that I protect that spot in my schedule unabashedly. Whst about you? What does that space look like for you?
