The shoes of nine different Iris van Herpen collections are exhibited as part of Iris van Herpen 'Transforming Fashion' at Phoenix Art Museum.
The 'Magnetic Motion’ shoes are handmade with magnetic powder, a liquid resin and magnets, to “grow” the shoes using the magnetic fields. Due to the nature of magnetic growth, no two shoes are alike. Made in collaboration with artist @jolanvanderwiel
The 'Hacking Infinity’ shoes are crafted from laser-cut leather and 3D-printed translucent crystal clusters that were 3D-scanned first. Made in collaboration with designer @noritakacoltd
The ‘LUCID’ shoes are made from wood, laser-cut leather and an transparent acrylic, that separates the sole from the foot to create a floating look. Made in collaboration with @フィンスク
The Transforming Fashion solo exhibition runs till May 13th and will then travel to @romtoronto
