This coming Wednesday I will be hosting the 5th annual @cafirefound gala in Hollywood. To prepare for my hosting duties, I had the true pleasure of visiting Station 51 here in LA last week. I was given a tour by Andy Doyle (see photo 2) the president of Local 1014, the union that represents nearly 3200 Firefighters, Paramedics, Pilots, Dispatchers and others of the LA County Fire Department. I learned so much about this organization and about firefighters in general. I have always had the utmost respect for the brave men and women who risk their lives to save other people’s. But now, especially in Southern California with the devastating wildfires we experience, I can’t tell you how important this organization is. The physical and mental toll firefighters go through is unimaginable. I would encourage you to visit the website in my bio and learn about the amazing work the California Fire Foundation does.
