Growing up I could barely stand up for myself, stand up for others who were being bullied, or speak my mind if it was unpopular opinion. TBH I was so caught up in my own teenage bullshit that I was indifferent toward social issues due to my self-centeredness. As an adult I'm proud to see our students bravely taking the mic and using their social platforms to challenge bullying culture, challenge the big guys at the top, & driving public debate around issues that affect ALL of us. Regardless of whether or not u believe gun policy change needs to occur, or whether or not u even think this movement is even worth something, the least we could do is consider showing support and love to the kids for taking on leadership roles, stepping into their power, and possessing compassion to redirect focus to the common good #marchforourlives
