today i marched for my father. my father was shot & killed when i was 2, at only 24 years old. i’ll be 23 next month and to think i’ll pass him in age soon makes my stomach sink. i marched today for the 5+ friends i’ve lost to gun violence in the bay area growing up. i marched today for every mother who lost a child, every child who’s lost a parent, everyone who’s lost ANYONE to a bullet. yes, we deserve the right to protect ourselves but we also deserve protection from our government. more action and thorough precautions taken when dealing with things as serious as weaponry. murderers deserve to be held accountable. victims families deserve peace. america deserves more love. #MARCHFOROURLIVES
