@デイヴィッド・ニカ broke down on the podium, overcome with emotion as he received New Zealand’s first boxing gold medal since 1990. The medal was hard earnt. The 18 year old from Hamilton took on Kennedy St Pierre of Mauritius in the men's light heavyweight (81kg) final. The Mauritian threw more punches but Nyika fought a smart fight, dodging and weaving while landing the blows he threw to win gold!
