I remember the first time I heard her voice as a younger girl. It shook something inside of me because the sound that bellowed from her was authentic, raw, and so powerful. I remember sitting by my stereo with my cassette tape ready to push record as soon as “Held” would play so I could capture it. I guess I should have asked my parents to buy me her album cause I know they would have!! Ha. But I’ve been inspired by her for a long time. God is so fun because now I call her a friend and I LOVED standing beside her at church a few weeks ago as this song erupted from her mouth and into the room. Something shifted! What a song.
