So I’ve been trying to be less political on my page because someone told me so, but that’s stupid. If you have a voice you should use it.
There’s a lot of things going on in the media , there are a lot of movements happening right now , and I’m here for that, I’m proud of everyone fighting the good fight, but I feel like we have forgotten yet again about Black Lives Matter.
Yet black men , women , and children are being murdered by the hands of police officers on the daily.
This man Stephon Clark , was in his grandmothers backyard , armed with a CELLPHONE , his cellphone , when he was shot 20 times by police officers . The body cam footage is beyond disturbing and conveniently the sound was muted, the police officers were supposedly looking for someone who was breaking into cars, yet they found themselves in someone’s backyard holding a cellphone and they decided that that was his time , that was it. Playing god yet again, taking an innocent black man’s life . Their stories changed multiple times on what weapon they thought he had.
It’s hard understanding how we got here as humans , but maybe we’ve always been here ? America was founded on rape and pillaging of tribes after all , I guess we haven’t forgotten our history.

I’m in a weird spot because I know that me being mixed puts me in a privileged position, I know THIS won’t happen to me, yet it’s happening to my family , this is their reality, they have to be nervous anytime they go to the store , to church , in their own backyards meanwhile I get to be sittin pretty , while America forgets about them , while we stop talking about the people that have lost their lives and move on like nothings happened .

So what NOW?
