The Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica are all quite epic. One can barely scratch the surface, even in a half day. St. Peter’s Basilica is the largest church in the world. For an idea of scale, each of the letters with gold background are 6.5 feet tall. In The Vatican Museums, there is work by incredible, more contemporary (contemporary is relative in a city as old as Rome) artists as well (like Matisse and Dalí!) that I barely even got to stand and look at on my 4 hour tour tour. Obviously the art by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Michelangelo, Raphael, Leonardo) was amazing as well. 30,000 visitors a day at its peak! Given that it gets so crowded, it helps to be able to levitate for ease of movement and seeing the art. #Rome #TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles
