This week's #rolemodelmonday goes to a girl that is changing the face of children's literature. At just 11 years old, @iammarleydias launched a campaign called #1000BlackGirlBooks. Her goal was to collect and donate 1,000 books that feature black girls as the main character. As of last year, Marley had collected more than 9,000 books and landed her own book deal. Marley explains that, "frustration is fuel that can lead to the development of an innovative and useful idea." So she started a campaign to ensure that all black girls can see their story reflected in the books they read. Marley's book, "Marley Dias Gets It Done-- And So Can You" just came out in January. You are truly an inspiration Marley!
