I received this nice note this week from a supporter of this cause. "Dear City, Hello from Canada. Nova Scotia got the ball rolling. I'm a vet tech. Our clinic still does declaws and I am working to reverse this. We do one a month. Which is one too many...however I am allowed to educate and prevent this as much as I can. So I will continue to do so...always. I have never assisted a declaw and at least they respect my wishes. I will continue to fight for the ban. It tears my heart....but I live in a place where people care for their sofas more than their cats. It's so disheartening. But I cannot give up. I refuse. We fight the gentle fight through education and sensitization. We will win. I hope more vet techs can be inspired to share their knowledge to their clients. It works!
Thank you City and Lori...keep on doing what you do even if you feel that your message falls on deaf ears and cold hearts. Every cat that is saved is a victory."

Thank you to all the vet techs who are sending me your notes. It's so inspiring that you are adamantly against this inhumane procedure but so sad that many of you work for declawing vets who make you feel that you can't speak out against this feline paw mutilation and cat cruelty.
