Yesturday was #nationalschoolwalkout day. I am so proud of these students nationwide working together to demand change. I’m sorry that we are not only failing to educate you but to also protect you. You should be our number 1 priority. You are the most precious thing we have... the future in the present moment. I remember doing drills in schools to learn how to hide from potential intruders in the classroom. How barbaric that we have to do this? Teachers have the world on their shoulders asked to do so much, given little support and they try their best because these children mean everything to them. Learning can not take place in the face of fear! ✊?#enough
