I believe in fairytales in terms of these basic themes: faith, hope, dreams=manifestation and love. Those aspects of fairytales I whole heartedly believe in. The only problem is, fairytales don’t only exist with one side. The polarity of things, of humanity, are often manipulated in the images of society. There is no perfect family, woman, man, child, sister, brother, best friend, career and whatever else. There is nothing that defines that because at some point everyone and everything will hurt and disappoint you. So to think, that one can only have those things, that family, that romance, that brother/sisterhood, that job if it favors the perfection they’ve seen on tv.. Well, they would lose all effort and will before it could ever get to the good parts. And welcome to the world we live in today. Of unrealistic expectations that put people in a bind of loneliness, criticism and constant disappointment of the beautifully imperfect humans around them. You cut out your lessons and experiences with too high of expectations for what you think your love, your family, your life, your career is meant to be. The most authentic thing about any “fairytale”, is acceptance. Just let it be.
