I had a life to improve. ▫️if you don’t see the differences that I see after 7 years of consistent work, dedication, routine, and a sustainable lifestyle change, that’s cool. ▪️What’s uncool is undermining and disregarding the effort I put in over all that time by actually saying ‘they look the same’ ▫️What’s uncool is trying to make someone feel bad for being proud of their efforts and achievements simply because you thought your minuscule glance at a picture was enough to make a concrete judgement and tell them their achievement wasn’t ‘good enough’ to be proud of ▪️So to those who think, they look the same, maybe, just maybe, it isn’t the looks part that I am proud of. Maybe not all progress is measured by appearance. Just because you can’t see something doesn’t mean it’s not there ▫️maybe I actually care more about the psychological changes between these two photos than I do the physical ▪️Maybe it’s the pride of knowing that I no longer punish my body because I ate ‘too much’, the joy of going out for food with friends without being paranoid about the calories, the freedom of exercising to make myself feel good instead of to give myself permission to eat, the broken chain which once had me attached to the scale 4 times a day ▫️maybe it’s the confidence of knowing I am worth more than a dress size or a number ▪️maybe, just maybe, these two pictures are completely different, because what I see is the journey which accompanied a choice to live healthier ▫️I see the achievement that comes with setting goals and reaching them (6 rounds of bbg isn’t easy!) ▪️I see the pride that comes with getting stronger physically and mentally. ▫️I see the difference. ▪️Our greatest progress isn’t measured by numbers or photos, it’s what we know has changed within" www.kaylaitsines.com/app
