While taking a picture all my senses are engaged, not just the eyes, (probably least of all the eyes because my cameras are so old I can barely see through the glass anymore ) - I am experiencing that moment with full concentration ….but what the trigger is, what makes me  take a picture in that instance is not always clear to me ‘till later .... and then when I look again months, even years later, other things emerge that I wasn’t even aware of at the time.
In this way taking photographs has more than anything taught me about myself and how I relate to the world.
