My old friend and artistic hero @カーキ・キング, whom I met for the first time in 2002, after she opened for Robert Randolph & The Family Band in Seattle. It was a life-changing experience. An utterly self-invented person, she has managed to extrude her soul and her huge brain through the most traditional of modern instruments — the guitar — and wound up creating the sound of the future. #internationalwomensday
