Celebrating International Women’s Day! This is a photo of my grandmother—“Nana”, standing in front of The Milford Opera House in Pennsylvania, where she played piano for Broadway try-outs. She was so wonderful—talented, strong and jolly—cooked and baked every day—and played the piano beautifully! She was the last one to bed every night and the first one up in the morning! I spent a lot of time with her in the kitchen—and she would sit endlessly and let me do hair-do’s on her! She was a resourceful and indomitable single mother of three. She remains an inspiration!
