Yesterday, I joined 2nd graders at a school in south LA for breakfast. We played games, I spent alot of time explaining that I wasn't ❄️Elsa❄️, and we talked about how breakfast makes them feel. 99% of this school qualifies for free lunch- which means often times they come to school hungry. They told me they weren’t able to pay attention in class without full bellies. But thanks to their dedicated administration, teachers, cafeteria staff and parents-the kids at this school don’t have to worry. With the help of #nokidhungry, they all sit in class with full bellies- ready to learn. Join me in helping the 1 in 6 kids in america who struggle with hunger get the food they need.
