Good evening dear Vienna. I know you’re oldschool, most of the times it’s beautiful, but sometimes... It’s been three weeks I’m looking for a little single flat for myself by sending dozens of requests everyday. Well, the most of my non-german emails are ignored, and the rest is being given some very interesting declining responses. Well, a young girl from Kazakhstan with poor german looking for a place, okaay let’s see it that way? I’m officially employed, in process of doing my Diploma and fully able to cover all my expenses and not only. What’s the problem? Am I maybe paranoid? Could somebody help me? To find a good makler maybe? Or should I wait until my accent fades away or even send my european friends to those meetings for me? Hm ? Friends suggest that I write those emails in german, but what’s the point if I would then come to the meeting and start speaking english? And oh, what is that “filter” called that makes people skip requests written in english... // I know I will find a place soon or later. but still. I refuse to follow this pattern in silence, since I know I’m far from being the only one.
