It takes me awhile to process through pen shows and I’m still collecting my thoughts from a stellar weekend past but in the meantime I will say this: I am very thankful for kindred spirits.

Having a public space albeit small has been a learning curve entailing both blessings and heartaches. I would be lying if I said that I haven’t experienced hurtful behavior, gossip and the like here. And I’d also being lying if I said that I haven’t met some of the most genuine and absolutely wonderful souls that I’m honored to call friends from this very space too.

When I give shout outs whether it be to a person, event or brand, it’s not a flippant thing. It is from my heart that’s borne both blood and tears in this journey. And it also comes from a place of deep appreciation for those - individuals, bloggers & businesses - who have experienced much the same, perhaps on a larger scale, yet who somehow remain open hearted enough to have gotten to know, welcome & invest in me too.

All that said I can say I am thankful to have attended the @baltimorewashingtonpenshow. Hats off to Bert of @bertramsinkwell for doing such a fantastic job organizing everything so smoothly & creating a warm atmosphere. A big heartfelt thank you @franklinchristoph for the honor to work at their table and also the wonderful process of co-designing the Vagabond Notebook together.
