My Saturday night party eating chocolate pondering this: There was a lot of confusion about why I posted my last dancing video. Whether it is empowering or disempowering as a woman to post something like this. I think this is a great discussion topic. People ask me How do you stay healthy? What keeps you grounded? How did you get out of unhealthy eating patterns and learn to love your body? - BY LEARNING WHAT LIGHTS ME UP - BY CHOOSING TO FIND MY SENSE OF SELF WORTH AND SELF LOVE INTERNALLY RATHER THAN EXTERNALLY Part of this includes sharing myself truly and authentically and accepting that people will have different judgments of me but that it won’t take away from whether I trust or love myself and do what feels good for me and what I believe in. Dance and embodiment practice is a major aspect for me. Dance is a fun way to explore self expression and feel comfortable in your body. If people want to judge me and say it is disempowering or sexualise me I have to accept that. I considered deleting it but I feel strong in why I posted it. It reflects how far I’ve come on my journey in loving my body and feeling free in my authentic expression . That is a massive part of my physical, emotional & spiritual well being which people always ask me about. My intention is for it to be empowering and inspiring to other people who are interested in finding this within themselves. And it’s a beautiful, pure expression of fun and sexuality without any agenda for a reaction which I see way too rarely. I choose to do what feels right for me and let go of other people’s judgments, I can’t control them and I won’t let them limit myself doing what feels right. All opinions welcome ???
