We're kicking off #WorldWildlifeDay with a Photo of the Day from #GoProAthlete @jebcorliss: "This is a magnificent 13ft Great #Hammerhead. These animals are commonly misunderstood and have been devastated by over-fishing. Reaching lengths in excess of 20ft and weighing thousands of pounds, they can grow to be some of the largest sharks on the planet. Hammerheads love to come close to divers and their alien, inquisitive looks make for a perfect photograph. Our oceans need sharks to stay healthy. I have spent the last 25 years of my life trying to document their true nature. Conservation of these animals is crucial to the oceans' long term survival. You cannot simply remove an species that has regulated the worlds waters for over 400-million years without facing extreme consequences… I took this image off of Bimini in the #Bahamas with my #GoPro in .5 second Time Lapse Mode, ProTune On, GoPro Color, -0.5 EV Comp, and Sharpness Low."
