Varenye is an easy way to use up strawberries (much less hassle than making jam!) when they’re cheap and delicious like now in Shanghai ?? but you can make many different types with cherries, blackberries or whatever you have in season and my favourite way to use the leftover syrup is in a champagne cocktail ?? #symmetrybreakfast
