This weeks #rolemodelmonday goes to 14 year old Taylor Richardson, from Jacksonville, Florida. Taylor raised $20,000 to send hundreds of girls to the upcoming film that focuses on an African American female protagonist, "A Wrinkle in Time". When asked why, Taylor explained that she wanted, "all girls, especially girls of color to know that they can be whatever they want to be when they grow up and also can struggle and have flaws and still be successful in life." Taylor surpassed her initial goal, and put all additional money towards buying girls a copy of the book and funding the Astronaut StarBright Space Camp Scholarship. At age 9 Taylor raised enough money to send herself to space camp, and just last year raised $18,000 to send a thousand girls to see "Hidden Figures.” I am truly in awe of all you have accomplished Taylor! Thank you for constantly creating these opportunities to uplift girls our age. ✨
