Today we said goodbye to Cody.... His passing was sudden and unexpected, leaving everyone around him asking “why?”... a question, no matter how many ways you phrase it, will never have an answer. But there is one question we do know the answer to: Did Cody make this world better? Everyone who knows him will say the answer is YES. One hundred thousand percent YES. Cody had many dreams. Most, like marrying his fiancé Alicia, won’t be able to come to fruition now. BUT there is one dream he had that will come true. Cody turned his love of food and health and nurturing loved ones into a project he called Create Something Beautiful. When the time is right his family will put out a cookbook of all of Cody’s amazing recipes he worked so hard to create and curate. I can’t wait to share that with you all when it happens.✨ I talked with Cody’s mom for a long time today and we talked about how fucking unfair it is that this 29-year-old with so much love, so much positivity, so much passion to make the world better, could leave it so soon (especially during a time when we need more people like him). I don’t know the answer to that. But I don’t feel like he’s done making this world better. Cody is one of the special ones.
