And just like childbirth, once you cross that finish line, you forget all the pain. Kind of...Here I am with my two medals, one from the Tokyo Marathon and the other is the @wmmajors that I earned after running the big six (NYC, Chicago, London, Boston, Berlin & Tokyo) marathons. But honestly, the real reward was seeing these ladies out there on the course today and our small but mighty team of cheerleaders we are now calling #racedoulas on the sidelines today. We collectively raised $13,469 to improve access to quality & respectful maternity care today! That will go a very long way in the 7 countries where @everymomcounts invests in community led programs working as hard as we did today everyday to ensure safe birth outcomes for mamas and babies. Thank you to all who supported us in Tokyo and me in every race I have run since 2011. I am so grateful to you! #everymileeverymother @runteamemc
