Today I had the chance to interview one of my heroes @boyanslat. Boyan is an inventor, entrepreneur, and the founder of @theoceancleanup project, an organisation creating solutions to rid the ocean of plastic. This year they’ll launch their first passive device, essentially a floating shoreline that uses the oceans currents to collect plastic debris. His aim is to clean up 50% of the Great Pacific Garage Patch within the next 5 years. All this and Boyan is one year younger than I am. There certainly is hope that the next generation can tackle the huge environmental issues we face today.
