Happy #PresidentsDay! Did you know: on March 2, 1889, President Grover Cleveland signed a bill passed by Congress that officially established the National Zoo! American bison, our #NationalMammal, were among the first species in our care. This photograph was taken at the iconic @スミソニアン博物館 Castle between 1887 and 1889.
