Tessa Forrest (@subliming.jpg) is a graphic designer at @outdoorvoices, who curates an Instagram full of quotes on colorful backgrounds with an aesthetic she describes as “70s meets late-90s/early-00s.” She prides herself on having content that is visually appealing, having a balanced mix of colors and compositions, and - most importantly - having content that is authentic. She says she didn’t gain a following through hashtags or gimmicky methods, but just through posting what she felt was right in her gut that ultimately others related to. She’s inspired by her struggles and heartbreak, as well as her dad. She’s had quite the journey to discover her passion of art - she grew up in Florida and studied Biomedical Science in college - and found that leaving her comfort zone was the only way to follow her dreams as a creative.
