Escape into an Australian #summer with this week's GoPro #FeaturedPhotographer, @mitch_gilmore_. ?? • Photo 1: Aqua man. Chasing clarity and surfers around #Duranbah beach with @isurfisnap. We had high hopes for this session and were in the water before sunrise. When I returned home and checked out my shots, this photo absolutely blew me away. It really shows what it means to be an ocean #photographer! I used Burst Mode 30/2, ISO 200, GoPro Color, and kept EV Comp at 0. • Photo 2: The other side. I usually shoot in the same few places every session, so I decided to go on a road trip to somewhere new. I had never swam there before but was on the search for #clarity (as always haha). Diving in, opening my eyes, and realizing that the water was the clearest I had ever seen brought a massive smile to my face. I spent 3 hours in the #surf and shot over 4000 photos. It was one of those days that you never forget! Chasing behind the wave shots can be tricky, you have to swim under the water well before the wave is near you, as to not disturb the wave for the photo. This one was shot using Burst Mode 30/3, ISO: 100, GoPro Color, and EV Comp at -.05. • Photo 3: Duck diving a surfboard can be a challenge, especially when you're #surfing at Australia's busiest surf spot (#SnapperRocks). Check out this legend on a solid longboard blasting out the back of a #wave! This is easily one of my favorite shots that I've taken. Even better, someone is having a decent wipeout in the background haha. For this shot I actually set out to snag a photo of a duck dive. I knew it had to be a quick one, so I used Burst Mode 30/1, ISO 100, EV Comp -0.5, and GoPro Color. • Photo 4: Split at sea level. Days like these are magical. This was one of the most amazing sessions that I've ever had. The water was as clear as the sky! Taking split-shots like this one with my @gdomeglobal aren't always easy. There's usually a lot of water moving and you need to keep yourself and your GoPro still, making sure the dome is positioned halfway beneath the surface. For this shot, I used Burst Mode 30/3, ISO: 100, GoPro Color, and EV Comp at -.05 to combat the bright sun.
