Of all the things the VRG prepared me for, multi pitch crack climbing was not one of them. @arjandekock on the other hand, seems to excel at suffer climbing. Not that Moonlight Buttress is suffering - it’s as striking and “comfy” as they come (but still, ouch) - but compared to single pitch sport climbing, it’s quite an adventure. We didn’t top out, but Arjan raged on some of the crux pitches (they don’t have splitters in ??, so psyche was ?), and I mini tractioned for the first time, so it was a successful learning experience for all. Maybe we’ll be back, or maybe Arjan will have to wait for @madmikebaleta to match his enthusiasm? Crack climbing is tough!
And yes, I stupidly only brought one helmet, so made Arjan wear it because he led everything.
