"For my entire life, this has been our family car," says Matías Bombal, the owner of this 1959 Mercedes-Benz 220 S. His father bought it in Düsseldorf, Germany, where he drove it all around Europe before bringing it across the Atlantic aboard an Italian ocean liner to his home country of Chile in 1960. Eventually, in 1969, he took it to California. Mr. Bombal inherited the car in 2009 and tells its story at the link in our bio. ⠀
