Throughout February, the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) UIUC chapter will be hosting events that center around the theme of "Black Excellence" for Black History Month. From hands-on resource workshops to highlighting current student successes, these events will touch on the divergent paths to success and excellence. Their goal is to provide resources to all members of their campus community regardless of their major or concentration of study. They have been looking to identify prominent members of our community that represent our motto of "lifting as we climb". Very excited, this event will serve as a forum for students to hear about my path to success, what i have learned along the way, and how i am continuing to give back. Commitment to excellence, excelling in professional sports and academic careers, with which comes a great deal of decisions. With our youth facing decisions such as; what is the next step in my career, should I pursue a masters degree or beyond, how do I figure out what I want to do? Am honored to speak as someone who has been in their shoes.
