castle walls
now a gateway to some of Berlin's hippest neighborhoods, the Oberbaumbrücke used to be a heavily guarded border checkpoint between the two German states. this week marks an unusual anniversary: on February 5th, the Berlin Wall that divided the city for 28 years has now been gone for as long as it existed. i took this shot while exploring the traces of the wall for @dw_stories. follow them for more pictures and stories this week.
